Cirkels

The short film ‘Circles’ poetically shows the internal grieving process of a woman who has lost a loved one.

When a loved one dies, this has emotional and psychological consequences for the next of kin. The grieving person ends up in a circle of mourning and processing. It is a lonely process in which the outside world sometimes seems like a dimension that you no longer belong to. The immediate environment often does not know how to deal with the grieving person. Unless wiser through personal experience, there is also no insight into the process of grieving that takes place internally. Moreover, talking about death is still too often a taboo. That is why we felt we had to make this film.

Circles is still in post production. The short film is expected to premiere for festival audiences in 2022-2023.
